Quickfire Tips: Spain #1 – Say no to Sangria

Move over Sangria, there’s another Spanish summer drink worth sipping!

Sangria will be available on pretty much every drinks menu but if you would rather fit in with the locals, order yourself a ‘Tinto de Verano.’ Literally translated as ‘red wine of summer,’ this refreshing drink is simply red wine mixed with a carbonated soda.

You will most likely be asked if you would like it ‘con casera’ (with soda water) or con limon (with lemon). Take your pick and enjoy this thirst-quenching drink in the Spanish sun. Not only does it taste great but it’s also much cheaper than Sangria!
